The HS2 Euston team designed by the architect will take over the site halls

HS2 joint venture Mace Dragados has just acquired the plan to build a 6-storey integrated space and a fitness training center on the grounds of the former Maria Fidelis School in Camden.
Now he will install a 60,000-square-foot temporary modular building next year.

When the construction is complete it will provide flexible and comfortable facilities for 2,500 workers at the peak site and will be used throughout the long-term station construction program.
The size and shape of the building was designed by Fraser Brown Mackenna Architects to ensure that the HS2 location and the Construction Business Center can be accommodated on a joint site.

The Construction Skills Center, located above the welfare facilities, will be able to accommodate 150 students and 30 staff and will be managed by the Camden Council.
It will house workshops, an IT room, classrooms and will implement a variety of technical equipment.
Jackie Duncan, Managing Partner and Congregation for Mace Dragados JV said: “Residents of our site are critical that we are able to provide comfort and desk space to the thousands of employees who will be helping us build the Euston HS2 station.
“Having an Construction Business Center inside the building will allow us to develop close relationships with the center’s students and staff and provide opportunities for us to share our skills and experience in the construction sector with the local community. “
