One of the games we’ve been watching closely for a while now is Square Enix’s next tactical RPG, Triangle strategy. It should be released in 2022, only on the Nintendo Switch.

As we’ve already seen – and even played the game’s first demo, Square Enix has now released its first “hero and story” trailer for Roland Glenbrook. Although it is in Japanese, it provides a number of new screenshots of the game and even some fighting battles with another look.

As documented on the unofficial wiki page of Triangle Strategy, Roland is the son of King Regna of the Kingdom of Glenbrook. If you’ve played the demo, you’ve probably seen the following about the character:

“During the Triangle Strategy demonstration, Roland behaves very honorably, though not a little blindly. He takes revenge on Avlora and King Gustadolph for stealing his kingdom and fights them at every opportunity. Finally, Roland has a selfless side. He is Wolffort. Demesnes has been offered to surrender to the Grand Duchy in exchange for security. “

When Triangle Strategy is finally released, it promises to show about 50 hours of play and multiple outcomes. It also has surprisingly unique HD-2D graphics and was developed by the team behind it Octopat traveler, so it looks familiar.

Square Enix also shared a general trailer that was localized last month. If you don’t understand, here it is:
