2021 Skoda Karoq gets a new look and new technology

Skoda Karoq was updated four years after its launch with new, sustainable materials, better engine performance and new technology.
Czechek’s famous SUV undergoes exterior design changes that include brighter LED headlights, redesigned front and rear lights, a wider, hexagonal grille and body-colored headlights.
The model also gets a longer rear spoiler, with body color, a front end with air curtains, an aerodynamically optimized fuel tank and new alloy wheel designs available in 17in, 18in and 19in sizes. Skoda claims that the shift is helped by a 9% reduction in traction, with a Cd of 0.30, which makes the Karoq one of the most aerodynamic cars in its class.
The new car seat can be selected with an Eco package, which adds durable materials to the car’s cabin, such as vegan, leather seats with effective leather upholstery made from recycled materials. The front door is made of ‘Sweden’ (microsued) on some models.
Three feature levels will be available – SE Drive, SE L and SportLine upstairs – and the Cargo has five engine options at hand. It consists of three petrol and two diesel units, all turbocharged.
The petrol line consists of a 1.08-liter engine with 108 hp, a 1.5-liter with 147 hp and a 2.0-liter engine with 187 hp. Both diesel options are 2.0-liter units that produce 114 hp or 150 hp.
With the exception of the 1.0-liter engine, which is only manual, all engines are available with either a six-speed manual transmission or a seven-speed automatic.
Entry-level SE Drive models now adopt an 8.0-inch digital driver display as standard to replace the hand-held drives found in the previous Karoq, as well as a number of roadside assistance systems, including front assistance, protection. receive pedestrians, adaptive cruise control and traffic signals. know.
Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are also included, with optional wireless phone charging.
The SE L models are step-by-step with a larger spoiler, with body color, 17-inch wheels and an Aero design on the outside that, Skoda says, reduces air turbulence.
The SportLine models are equipped with LED matrix beams and include the Skoda Black package as standard, which adds 18 inches of black to the window frame, roof rails, rear diffuser, wing mirrors and alloy wheels.
The new car is expected to go on sale next year but price has not yet been reported.
